Where each one wins
Where ScrubPrep wins
Bigger question pool. ScrubPrep advertises thousands of questions while FunPrep has a fixed bank of 1,000. If sheer volume matters most to you, that is a real edge.
Spaced repetition done right. FSRS scheduling plus AI explanations is the most modern study loop in this market. FunPrep's coaching is warm and human, but it is not algorithmically spaced.
Multi-exam platform. If you might sit for the CST, CET, or CPCT/A after the CRCST, ScrubPrep keeps you in one app. FunPrep is CRCST only.
Where FunPrep wins
12 months vs 2 months at the same $39. This is the headline. Same entry price, six times the access window. If life gets busy, your prep does not expire mid-study.
Media you will actually use. A 12-episode comedy podcast and a department management game. Nobody else in CRCST prep ships both.
Pass guarantee. Plus buyers who do not pass keep full access free until they do. ScrubPrep states no guarantee.
Free daily habit. A free 15-question drill every day beats 10 questions a week for building a streak.
Our honest verdict
Pick ScrubPrep if you study fast, want AI-driven spaced repetition, and will finish inside 2 months. Pick FunPrep if you want a full year of access, learn well by listening and playing, or want the safety net of a pass guarantee. Either way, try both free tiers before you pay: 10 questions a week on ScrubPrep, and the free daily drill right here.
